INTERNATIONAL BASEBALL COMPETITION
NATIVE ATHLETES ON THE WORLD STAGE
The Na7ive Na7ions National Baseball Team creates opportunities for Native athletes to compete against teams from across the United States and around the world. Our athletes have taken the field against international programs representing Colombia, the United Kingdom, Aruba, and other global baseball communities.
Through Na7ive Na7ions’ associate membership with the World Baseball Softball Confederation, we are working to expand the pathway for Native baseball players to reach international events, gain greater visibility, and represent their Tribal Nations on a global stage.
This is more than a tournament team. It is a National and international baseball pathway built for Native athletes.
THE NATIONAL BASEBALL PATHWAY
HOW ATHLETES EARN THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPRESENT
Na7ive Na7ions identifies Native baseball players through National tournaments, showcases evaluations, scouting, coach recommendations, and competitive performance. Selection is based on more than talent alone. Athletes must demonstrate physical readiness, conditioning, preparation, accountability, teamwork, leadership, and the ability to compete at a high level while representing their Tribal Nations and Communities with purpose.
IDENTIFICATION OF ATHLETES
Athletes are identified through Na7ive Na7ions tournaments, evaluations, scouting, coach recommendations, and competitive performance.
EVALUATION & READINESS
Coaches evaluate baseball ability, physical readiness, conditioning, preparation, teamwork, attitude, accountability, coachability, and leadership.
NATIONAL TEAM SELECTION
Selected athletes may be invited to represent Na7ive Na7ions in national and international baseball competition while carrying their Tribal Nations and Communities onto a larger stage.
