NA7IVE NA7IONS NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS

WHERE TRIBAL NATIONS MEET. WHERE PATHWAYS BEGIN.

Na7ive Na7ions National Tournaments bring Native baseball and softball athletes from Tribal Nations across the United States and Canada with hopes to expand, together for meaningful competition, connection, evaluation, and opportunity.

More than a tournament, these events break down geographic and team barriers, create access for athletes from rural and underserved communities, and provide a pathway toward select-team and National Team opportunities representing Tribal Nations and sovereignty on national and international stages.

MORE THAN A TOURNAMENT

Na7ive Na7ions National Tournaments create a place where Native athletes, families, coaches, and Tribal Nations from across the United States and Canada can come together through baseball and softball.

Athletes who may never otherwise share the same field compete, connect, learn from one another, and build relationships that cross geographic, community, and team boundaries. These tournaments make talent more visible while creating opportunities for athletes to represent who they are, where they come from, and what may come next.

ACCESS

Athletes can participate regardless of where they live, whether their community has a full team, or whether they have previously had access to national-level competition.

CONNECTION

Athletes and families from different Tribal Nations build relationships, learn from one another, and experience the strength of gathering through the game.

OPPORTUNITY

Tournament competition gives athletes another setting to be evaluated and considered for showcases, Select Teams, and National Team pathways.

NO TEAM? NO PROBLEM.

THE FREE-AGENT PATHWAY

An athlete should not lose an opportunity because their community does not have a team, they live in a rural area, or they do not have access to an established baseball or softball program.

Na7ive Na7ions allows individual athletes to enter National Tournaments as free agents. Athletes may be placed with an existing team that needs players, or Na7ive Na7ions may assemble a team made up of individual athletes.

Free-agent participation gives athletes the opportunity to compete, connect with players and coaches from other Tribal Nations, and be evaluated within the same tournament environment as every other athlete.

THE TOURNAMENT-TO-TEAM PATHWAY

COMPETE • BE EVALUATED • KEEP DEVELOPING • EARN CONSIDERATION

Na7ive Na7ions National Tournaments are an important entry point within the Athlete Pathway. They provide Native athletes with meaningful competition and another opportunity to be seen by coaches, scouts, and evaluators selected or approved by Na7ive Na7ions.

Evaluations consider more than statistics or a single performance. Athletic ability, position-specific skills, preparation, physical readiness, teamwork, coachability, communication, accountability, leadership, conduct, and the needs of a particular opportunity may all be considered.

1. COMPETE

Athletes participate with an existing team, through free-agent placement, or on a team assembled by Na7ive Na7ions.

2. BE EVALUATED

Coaches, scouts, and evaluators selected or approved by Na7ive Na7ions observe athletes during tournament competition. Some tournaments may also include a skills camp or evaluation session where athletes can demonstrate position-specific ability, physical readiness, coachability, communication, teamwork, and other opportunity-specific needs.

3. KEEP DEVELOPING

Athletes may receive feedback, be encouraged to continue developing, attend a future skills camp or selected showcase, or be considered for another competitive opportunity.

4. EARN CONSIDERATION

Based on readiness, evaluation, eligibility, and the needs of a specific opportunity, athletes may be considered for a Na7ive Na7ions Select Team or official National Team roster.

Tournament participation, skills-camp attendance, or evaluation does not guarantee placement on a Select Team or National Team roster. Every invitation is based on the complete athlete, eligibility, readiness, the purpose of the opportunity, and the needs of the specific team.

THE REACH OF THE TOURNAMENTS

NATIVE ATHLETES. TRIBAL NATIONS. GROWING OPPORTUNITY.

Each National Tournament brings together athletes, families, coaches, and Tribal Nations that may otherwise never share the same field. The numbers reflect more than participation—they represent barriers removed, relationships formed, athletes seen, and opportunities created.
